WHAT WE OFFER - ADULTS
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu or BJJ is a martial art and self-defense system focusing on grappling, especially on the ground. The main principle of the art is that a smaller and/or weaker person can successfully defend against the attacks of a bigger or stronger assailant by using proper technique through which the assailant is submitted by joint-locks and chokeholds. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is practiced in sport grappling tournaments and MMA competitions, as well as for self-defense. Typically, a Jiu-JItsu practitioner wears a gi. Students can choose to grapple with or without a gi.
Muay Thai Kickboxing:
The term Muay Thai kickboxing has become kind of a blanket term to cover anything that involves punching and kicking. In actuality, Muay Thai has a few distinct features. It’s a centuries old fighting art that comes mostly from Thailand. In addition to striking with fists and shins, this martial art also involves knee and elbow strikes, as well as a form of stand-up grappling called a clinch. Sometimes referred to as the “art of eight limbs,” this fighting art can be very effective.

Our boxing classes will not only familiarize you with these techniques, but will enable you to use many of them yourself.
